Discover the many therapeutic benefits of acupuncture therapy.

Peer-reviewed research has shown that acupuncture leads to an increase in blood flow and endorphin release which leads to pain relief and tissue healing.

Acupuncture may be helpful for those suffering from several pain conditions including back and neck pain, knee pain associated with osteoarthritis, and postoperative pain.

Acupuncture can also help relieve joint pain associated with the use of aromatase inhibitors, which are drugs used in people with breast cancer.

Acupuncture Therapy on Pathway Meridians-8205

What are pathway meridians & how does acupuncture therapy work?

Acupuncture therapy is a traditional healing method that has been utilized for thousands of years to help balance energy, relieve pain, and stimulate healing. It involves inserting sterile needles into the skin at specific acupuncture points that are located along the body’s acupuncture pathways (meridians).

Acupuncture meridians are like powerful, laminar rivers running through the body. These pathways carry energy to your vital organs. Symptoms like tight muscles, injuries, or stress can cause dams in the river. By needling into these areas, dams are removed, and the flow of energy becomes balanced once again. Balancing the body’s energy can lead to an overall sense of well-being, improved mood and energy, better sleep, and more natural digestive health.

Most often acupuncture treatments are pain free. The needles used in acupuncture are thinner than human hair strands and are only inserted to a shallow depth just below the skin. At times you may feel increased sensation at certain points. If any needles are painful, they will be removed or adjusted.

For acute injuries four to eight treatments are typically required. For chronic issues one to three treatments a month for several months may be required. For ideal prevention and maximum wellness, monthly maintenance treatments are recommended.
